At the heart of the Deshaies local district
After the fishing beach of Anse de Baille Argent and Ferry, nestled in a hollow of the coastline is the village of Deshaies. Surrounded by mountains, this little village, well-known amongst other things for its bay is one of the most beautiful of the leeside coast and for its famous sunsets. It is not by accident that some of the biggest cruise boats are moored there, namely the “Club Med2”. On the sand, little multicolored fishing boats await quietly for the best fishing time. The sleepy village, in the cozy hollow of the bay without the shout of these colors will invigorate anyone!
Let’s hope Deshaies will never lose its simplicity and its charm in the future!
Some of the most important sites of the Isle are located near Deshaies: the Souffrière Volcano, the Carbets waterfalls, the Blue lagoon, the Ecrevisses waterfalls, the Acomat Saut and the well–known sites of scuba diving.

Guadeloupe
Under the Caribbean sun, between the tropic of Cancer and that of the Equator, the Guadeloupe archipelago marks out the blue sky of the Caribbean. There are eight islands with evocative names such as - Guadeloupe (Basse Terre and Grande Terre), Désirade, Marie Galante, Petite Terre, the Saintes, Saint-Barthélémy & Saint-Martin.
Guadeloupe consists of 2 separated islands, it is dominated by the Grande Soufrière. On the Northwest, the coast faces the Caribbean and on the South-East, the Atlantic Ocean. The Trade wind and the cyclones, the volcanoes and the heavenly vegetation. The souvenirs of sumptuous times and the original sin of slavery, indolence, the horns of welcome and the charming chatter and bustle – this is all Guadeloupe. A piece of heaven, and a place of paradoxes.
